As you all know, I have a penchant for bemoaning Facebook. But...this morning, a friend posted this little gem, and I've been smirking for the last hour every time I think of it.
I see so many quotes on social media about believing in yourself, not letting anyone steal your thunder, etc. It's a little bit overwhelming because a lot of the quotes are kind of obvious.
Believe in yourself and you will believe you can.
Stuff like that. I mean, I just made that up. Let me see if I can find a legit sample......
These sort of quotes abound on the web, and I often think, when the weekends roll around and I want to put up a lovely quote: am I part of this chaos of quotery?
Maybe I am.
Perhaps what speaks to one person, what makes us stop and put our hand to our heart and compels us to do better, be better or simply think better, won't speak to someone else. I mean, I guess that's obvious.
So, the point here (as I meander toward it) is that it's awfully nice, on a Sunday morning, to see something a little lighter and, of course, making a grammar point. :)
With that I'm off to clean this rancid house. It's shocking how dirty our home gets with only one day (ONE DAY) of not cleaning, picking up and staying on top of things.
That said, don't we all need an occasional one day?
