It's been a doozy of a week. We got a kayak, hit up some ice cream parlors, had a play date with a group of boys and generally let summer slap us up the side of the head.
I also spent the last 2 days in bed with a migraine that refused to budge - no matter what medication, ice packs or soothing measures I threw at it. I feel it sitting there now, lingering, and I'm hopeful the day will be better and it will recede.
Here are a few bits from the week so far:
The perks of waking up at 5AM. Early birds get more than the worm some days.
After saying nay to selfies, I felt I had to post at least one non-edited, unfiltered one. Here I am. I would have cropped out some of the background, ran it through a filter and hidden the fact I need to get my hair colored. But....who cares? Boom.
This pinot was another 7/10. Solid and nice but not lighting my socks on fire. Still, a pinot is a pinot, right?
We ate some fresh fruit from a local farm this week. It wasn't the absolute best I've ever had, but it felt nice to buy local.
Took my collagen with me to the hair salon. Readers: it's a little like drinking gelatin, and not in the good way. I mean...is there a good way to drink gelatin? Jello shots, I suppose. :)
That's it for me. Here are a few bits from around the web:
Speaking of migraines, I'm hopeful with this news.
All over the web people are raving about this new Drunk Elephant serum. Temping. Very tempting.
CVS is doing something about photoshopping and beauty brands. I like it.
What being a hairdresser did to one woman's body. I have always wondered if they have chronic pain.
This story made me cry. I love other women and think daily how much we all need each other.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend ahead. We're going for BBQ and relaxing, which sounds like the best plan of all.
