I cannot believe the middle of February is here, upon us, sneaking by. It's probably the never-ending cloud cover I'm enduring here in NC that's making it all seem like a blur. The sun is out today, so I'm heading for a hike and generally basking in it.
Thank goodness I've already read these gems from around the web. Enjoy!
Coffee, Dave Eggers and the Monk of Mokha? I had no idea 75% of farmers in Yemen are women.
According to Food & Wine, these are the best $15-and-Under Red Wines. I'll be keeping an eye out, for sure.
Fold a Shirt in 2 seconds - I might have to teach my kids this technique.
I'll be trying this today: Polish a Kitchen Sink with Flour.
Democratizing Nature? See what's happening in Colorado to provide access to nature to all kids.
The New Yorker had me smirking this morning: Things a Startup Has Instead of HR. I'd work somewhere with a fridge of wine.
The Beauty of Ugly Food. I had no idea so much is going to waste.
50 Lessons on Feeding Kids - number three had me laughing (our daughter used to hum while she chewed to the point we wondered if she'd do that on a date) and number 27....so true. Finally, number 38 is brilliant and on-point.
What a 'Balanced Morning' Looks Like Food-Wise. I didn't expect to like this article as much as I did, and I appreciate how normal this woman is; she even talks morning poop. :)
Coconut Custard Macaroons? I am trying this recipe pronto.
Has anyone seen Hostiles? I'm kind of wanting to go.
If we want a better marriage, do we need to Act Like a Single Person? Have you shrunk into coupledom?
Love in America? This article is fascinating for many reasons....perhaps the biggest that it was written in 1938! Is 'love wholesome....like Grade A milk'? Hahaha. Love this.
Kind vs. Nice? I think the words really do matter. This was an interesting read.
Modern Mrs. Darcy lists these 20 Life-Changing Nonfiction Books. I'm tempted by the last one. Love AP.
That's it for this month's Roundup. I'll be sipping coffee with greater intention, making friends like my 25-year-old self, sneaking into a movie theater and shopping for cheaper red wine this week. Ha.
